House at the commencement of work ...
(taking care of 10-20 years of deferred maintenance)

(Web site is now split into smaller pages)

NEW ROOF (INSTALLED IN ONE DAY)

Shingles chosen to match the house's "New England Red" paint

INSTALLING A NEW BULKHEAD*
(using a prefabricated concrete staircase called a "Bilco"**)

*Entrance to the basement

** Or, if you prefer, as I do, a "Bilko"

The ground will be re-graded to bring it up to the level
of the bulkhead and the house foundations.

INSTALLING NEW FOOTING DRAINS
(The old ones were clogged with roots and other detritus)

Overnight protection for wandering wildlife (and little kids?)

All the above nonsense for these two little blue drains ...

ENLARGING CURTAIN DRAIN AT BASE OF STONE WALL IN THE BACKYARD

Maneuvering the backhoe delicately to avoid the electric bear fence and the bird feeders

The completed curtain drain

(Yes he did.  One lunchtime ...  In those bushes along the wall.)
